How birth support feels
Calm presence. Clear support. Whole-family care.
Birth support is not about taking over. It is about helping you and your support team feel more grounded, informed, and connected during labor and birth.
Your doula can help you understand what is happening, talk through options, use comfort measures, and create a calmer environment wherever you give birth.
Comfort and coping
Support for the physical and emotional work of labor.
Birth support may include breathing guidance, position changes, counter-pressure, movement suggestions, encouragement, grounding, and help creating a calmer space.
We also help partners understand what to do so they can feel more confident and involved.

Private pay labor and birth support is $975. It includes labor and birth support, attendance to childbirth group classes if able to attend, and one postpartum home visit.
Is birth support covered by Partnership/Medi-Cal?

Can my partner or support person be included?
Yes. Partner and support person preparation is an important part of birth support. We help support people understand what to expect and how to offer comfort without guessing.
