Coverage note
Many prenatal visits may be no cost for Partnership/Medi-Cal clients.
Some prenatal appointment types are offered at no cost for pregnant people with Partnership/Medi-Cal and may include a regular doula visit built into the appointment.
For private pay clients, consultations are free, SneakPeek is $149, and other doula visit types are $125 unless otherwise noted.

First visit
New Client Visit
45 minutes
Meet one of the doulas, learn about services, ask questions, and see the Nueva Vida center.
Spanish option: Primera Visita.
Established clients
Returning Client Visit
45 minutes
Book a return visit for a doula check-in, private childbirth class, questions, planning, or continued prenatal support.
No cost for Partnership/Medi-Cal clients; available for established private pay clients.
Education
Group Childbirth Classes
Summer 2026 Series
In-person childbirth education for pregnant people and their support person or people.
Available for private pay clients/students only. Class fee covers the full series.
Testing
SneakPeek Testing
30 minutes
Ideal for pregnant people who are 6 or more weeks pregnant. Tests are overnighted and results are sent electronically the following afternoon.
Inconclusive tests may be repeated at no extra cost. Includes a doula visit with testing.
Baby bonding
Ultrasound Visit
45 minutes
A baby bonding doula session that includes an elective, non-medical ultrasound experience in a warm and supportive setting.
Free for pregnant people with Partnership/Medi-Cal and includes a single doula visit during each ultrasound visit.

Ultrasound visits at Nueva Vida Doula are part of our baby bonding doula sessions. They are 100% elective, non-medical, and designed to help families connect with baby.
These visits are not diagnostic, do not replace medical ultrasound care, and are not a substitute for care from your medical provider.

What appointment should I book first?
If you are new to Nueva Vida Doula, start with a New Client Visit. This gives you time to meet a doula, learn about services, ask questions, and understand your next step.
Are prenatal visits covered by Partnership/Medi-Cal?
Many prenatal doula visit types may be offered at no cost for clients with Partnership/Medi-Cal. Coverage can depend on eligibility, appointment type, and timing, so we can help you review your options.
Are ultrasound visits medical?
No. Nueva Vida ultrasound visits are elective, non-medical baby bonding doula sessions. They are not diagnostic and do not replace medical ultrasound care.
What is SneakPeek testing?
SneakPeek testing is ideal for pregnant people who are 6 or more weeks pregnant. Tests are overnighted, results are sent electronically the following afternoon, and inconclusive tests may be repeated at no extra cost.
Can I bring my partner or support person?
Yes. Support people are welcome for many prenatal visits and childbirth classes. Ask the office if you are unsure what is best for your appointment type.
